OgilvyAction Experiential Group, the North American face-to-face marketing division of OgilvyAction, is now hiring Reps who have expertise in Golf to execute a national retail demo program to launch our Client’s new line of clubs at participating golf retailers across the nation between March 31st and May 15th.  A team of golf experts is needed to help oversee regional demos and communicate the unique characteristics of the product.

 

OgilvyAction is the activation arm of the Ogilvy network, with 81 offices in 60 countries. By understanding the behavior of consumers, shoppers and retailers, we’re able to create the conditions that drive brand purchase.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage demos at participating retailers in a given region for six consecutive weekends
  • Communicate with retail locations one week prior to activation to confirm the events and any dedicated retail staff
  • Oversee event materials and set up/break of footprint
  • Promote demo  in store by communicating key messages and sweepstakes details to consumers
  • Enter consumer information via an iPad
  • Walk consumers through the demos; assisting where necessary
  • Work with retail staff (up to 2 per retailer) to identify leads, educate consumers on product and ultimately drive purchase and trial of the product
  • Complete event reports after each event
  • Reps will work six (6) consecutive weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) between March 31st and May 15th
  • Paid training for this program will begin on or around March 12, 2012 (This will be a multiple module training that will include Online and in person)

JOB REQUIRMENTS

The Client is looking for avid, energetic golf enthusiasts who love to interact with consumers.  Below are required skills and attributes of for our Team Leads and Brand Ambassadors:

  •  A high level of knowledge or expertise in the game of golf or experience working in the industry
  • Experiential Marketing and/or retail sales experience - preferably in a golf/sports retail environment
  •  Effective verbal and written communication skills
  •  Ability to clearly and enthusiastically present information, influence and persuade others
  •  Ability to intuitively adjust presentation communication style and content to suit various audiences
  •  Reliable - able to make each event on time and ready to work
  • Preferred:  Enrolment in/completion of a professional Golf Management Program or Sports Management Degree, or experience within golf retail
  • Team Leads will be responsible for assets, reports, operations, etc
  • MUST be able to work ALL weekends (Saturdays and Sundays: retail hours) from March 31st to May 15th

 

 

Team Leads: $180/day (9 hours) and Brand Ambassadors $150/day (9 hours)

 

All hires are employees of OgilvyAction and will be paid for reported work on a bi-weekly cycle. You will NOT be an Independent Contractor.
